Just, if you wanna tell people. Some people have trouble with it cos they think they'll be alone in how they feel, or think people they know won't be nice about it. Or they got other shit to deal with when it comes to this.
Either way, I don't want to like, bring it up to someone only for you to have not wanted them to hear it from me. Like, idk Armin or Jean.
...I was mostly just worried that Jean and the others would look at me differently. I told them already and they|
They seem okay with it? Jean is still letting me share a room and a tent with him, so I can only assume he's fine or he doesn't really care. They had a right to know though, I mean... I didn't want to find out later down the road that they didn't like people like me, you know?
And it's not as if I just like only guys?? I like girls too but I don't know if they'd find that weirder or if theres even a term for that. Outside of them though, you're the only other one who knows and, uh, well...
Well that's kinda what I meant. I don't want to be accidentally telling people if you're worried about that sort of thing. But I'm real glad they've been okay with it! I've heard some real horror stories about people coming out and the people they care about not taking it well.
[ Like when his Dad was outed to his grandfather... ]
Thanks for trusting me mate c: And yeah, there is a term! If you like both guys and girls, it's called being bisexual. I'm bi too. So, I don't reckon it's weird at all to like both. But...I mean, like I just said I'm in the same boat as you so, of course I wouldn't find it weird.
But here's the thing; does it hurt anyone? Us being bi? The answer's no, we're not hurting anyone by liking both men and women. It's just between us and whoever we date.
I'm not entirely sure how the people back home would've taken it if I knew back then. I never imagined someone could like me to begin with though, so I never really had to think or worry about it? It's still a little weird to think about.
...Could I ask something personal? You're free to say no, of course!
My first crush was on a girl I hung out with. But the next time I started liking someone, it was a guy. It did take me a bit of time to think about it and I realised, it wasn't about who I liked at that precise moment, it was just that I could fall for both.
It probably helped that my Dad's gay, so it easy to ask him how he knew and learn from him that it was alright. He's cool with it. He just wants to me to be okay and to be happy. He took me to Pride last year too!
Oh RIGHT Pride is like. A big festival where gay, bisexual, transgender and all sorts of people come together and celebrate who we are. Because people were horrible and did some pretty bad things to people who were anything but straight, but now it's way more accepted to be whatever, long as you're not hurting someone.
Wait, uh... If your dad likes guys, then did... he adopt you? And if I'm uh... bi, does that mean I have to go to those big festivals too? Because that might be a little too much...
Yeah. I mean; we were both in a rough situation. He found me on the streets when I was like...3? He was 18 and took me in. Eventually he got us a little apartment, made sure I went to school and all that. He's amazing.
And yeah you don't have to go haha! It's not forced or anything. It's just a big sorta party that happens once a year, all over the world.

I don't know.
...What would I need time to think about?
