[Jean laughs, and then groans. A few of the Voltorbs wake up and crackle grumpily at the sound.]

I'd say I could sneak over to the window but I think it's a little too high for both of us.

No, they'd notice you. And then we'd both be in trouble.

[Jean sighs, smiling a little sadly.]

Probably not. But a plate of those cranberry scones you make and some fresh coffee would likely net you some longer visiting hours.

How many plates do you think I'd need to get an extra hour? Maybe I could try bribing them with Marcel, too. They seem to like him.

Two or three. And yeah, bring Marcel. They like using him to work with their police pups.

[Most of which are Marcel's puppies, anyway.]

Distract them with food and fluff so we can have some extra time.

That'll work. Four plates of scones and your sad, puppy-dog eyes and they'll be convinced.

I should be, yeah. They keep complaining about all the Voltorbs and running out of room, so they want to get rid of me.

[And Jean has, for all intents and purposes, been a model prisoner. He's quiet, polite, has been helping rebuild the wall, and his handsome boyfriend brings scones and coffee. They've also enjoyed having FCAB parked right outside the jail.]

[Jean sits up too, shifting his green monkey down onto his lap. The black Oricorio wakes up and hops onto his shoulder, pecking lazily at his hair.]
